Arlene, 88, of Denver, Colorado, entered Eternal Life on November 19, 2018.
Arlene was born and raised in the San Luis Valley, in Antonito, Colorado, where she married Frank Armenio Trujillo. They had five children. Her husband, Frank, died tragically in an automobile accident at 44 years of age. Arlene moved with her children to Denver where she began working at the United Bank of Denver, subsequently she began working at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Later, she worked for the Communication Workers of America where she retired.
Arlene married Eppie Jaramillo in 1970, but he preceded her in death in 1976.
She always had a passion for service to others and volunteered her time in a prison ministry and to Kairos. She was an Extra-Ordinary Minister in the Catholic Church.
Arlene also had a passion for reading. First and foremost, her greatest love and passion was for God and her family, who will forever be in her heart.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Delubina (Ruybal) and Patricio Lucero; spouses, Frank Trujillo and Epifanio Daniel Jaramillo; children, Michael (Alice) Trujillo and Donald (Claudia) Trujillo; grandson, Paul Florez; and siblings, Lucille (Philip) Garcia, Max Al Quintana, and Lourdes Hutchinson.
She is survived by her children, Marian Florez, Charlotte (James) Lujan, and Frank (Sharon) Trujillo; grandchildren, Michele Trujillo (Aaron Abeyta), Matthew Trujillo (Delfie Castro), Alan Michael Trujillo (Maria McMath), Ravi Trujillo, Frank Trujillo, III, Andrea Trujillo Guajardo (Marcel Guajardo), Nathan Trujillo, Nicholas Trujillo, Reinna Florez, Inaiah Lujan (Desi), Chela Lujan (Jacob Elbekhty), Rachel Trujillo, Ana Maria Trujillo Limon (Jamie), Donnie Trujillo (Kylie), Takota Lujan; great grandchildren, Shemaiah Aberle, Benjamin Aberle, Esai Florez, Adonijah Florez, Nakoah Thompson, Rut Trujillo Abeyta, Danielle Trujillo, Makani Trujillo, Trinity Trujillo, Logan Trujillo, Donnie Trujillo, Shelby Medina, Alica Medina, Elias Trujillo, Frank Trujillo, IV, Andres Javier Guajardo and Miguel Antonio Guajardo; great great grandchild, Nadia Trujillo; and siblings, Patricia Lucero, Irene (Joe) Lujan, Darylene (George) Flores, Yolanda (JoJo) Stone, Stanley (Lorre) Quintana, Gregory (Carrie) Quintana; and numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends and family during visitation on Monday, November 26, 2018, from 5-7 PM, with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80211.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 10 AM, at St. Patrickâs Catholic Church, 3325 Pecos Street, in Denver, Colorado 80211.
Committal services will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 2 PM, Fort Logan National Cemetery â Area âAâ, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado 80235.
In lieu of flowers, Arlene requested memorials be made in her honor to the church.
