GRAVES, ARLON ""CUTTER"" ""CHRIS"" Cutter, 74, of Henderson, departed Dec. 31, 2012. He was born in Tucumcari, NM on December 25, 1938 to John and Mayfair Graves. He graduated from Sudan High School in Sudan, Texas, in 1956 and attended San Diego State University on a football scholarship. Cutter enlisted in the US Army serving from 1958-1961 in Germany followed by several years of reserve service. Cutter started his own fabrication business in 1964 in Colorado where it expanded into his current business, Kendo Inc. He was highly respected by his employees. Chris had a heart for children and supported many charities such as Open Door Youth Gang, Alternatives and Augustana Arts/City Strings. In his free time, Cutter enjoyed spending time with his family, outdoor activities, fishing, painting, photography, football and playing his guitar. He was an active member of Advent Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the children and taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir, and served in many capacities. Cutter is survived by his wife of 28 years, Edie; daughters, Christie (Stace) Guinn and Arlene (Jon) Henderson; Edie's daughters, Cindy (Ken) Martin and Sally (Dave) Meier; grandchildren, Joey, Jason (Samantha), Kyle Henderson, Austin and Lauren Martin, and Curtis, Brendan and Travis Meier; great grandchildren, Acacia, Caiden and Blake; siblings, Sue Whiteaker, Jimmy Graves, Donald Graves, Fernella Gilcrease, and Rex Graves; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Benny Graves and Gayland Graves. Celebration of Life will be Sunday, January 6, 2013, 5:00 PM at Advent Lutheran Church, 7979 Meade St., Westminster, Colorado 80030.
