Arthella "Artie" Kulow

Arthella “Artie” Marie Kulow passed away on October 2, 2020 at the Life Care Center of Evergreen at the age of 95. She was born on May 3, 1925 in Massillon, Ohio to Clarence and Ethel Lewis. On February 21,1947 Artie married Frank Kulow at United Presbyterian Church in Denver, Colorado. She was a faithful and loving wife for seventy-three years, as well as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She graduated from Arapahoe Community College and was employed as an LPN at Porters Hospital in Englewood, Colorado. She was a member of Platte Canyon Community Church in Bailey, Colorado, and enjoyed teaching Bible Study Fellowship, riding horses, and writing poetry.

Artie was preceded in death by her mother Ethel Lewis (Hamm), father Clarence Lewis, and brothers Albert Lewis, Adam Lewis, and Robert Lewis.

Artie is survived by her husband Frank Kulow; daughters Bobbie (Ron) Sabel, Becky (Greg) McFarland of Queen Creek, Arizona, Robin (Wesley) Isenberg of Bailey, Colorado, and son Mark (Jackie) Kulow of Bailey, Colorado; ten grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.

A private service for Artie will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery, and a memorial service will be planned for a later date.
