Arthur Mauldin, 89, died at his home in Littleton, Colorado, on Friday, January 29, 2021.
Born, February 14, 1931, in Milnesand, New Mexico, he grew up in Albuquerque. From sweeping the factory floor, to selling on the showroom, then as a traveling sales representative, it was here he learned the furniture industry. In 1976 he moved to Littleton where he opened his first La-Z-Boy retail furniture store and became a successful entrepreneur in the Denver market.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalen Mauldin; his children, Jeffrey Mauldin, Andrea Mauldin-Garduño, Stephen Mauldin, Kevin Mauldin, Brian Mauldin, and Mark Mauldin. Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Gary Mauldin. Arthur and Magdalen have 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm, February 8, 2021, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227. Funeral services will be held at 9:45am, February 9, 2021, at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W Milan Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110, with burial at Littleton Cemetery.
