Arthur Scott Richmond, age 59, died unexpectedly at his home in Lakewood, Colorado on July 8, 2023. He was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver. He studied and partied at University of Northern Colorado. As a proud Teamsters Union member, he worked at UPS ("the big brown hole") for over 35 years before retiring in 2021.
Artie was an avid beer drinker, funny as hell, and could sling sexually inappropriate innuendos as easily as swigging an ice-cold beer. He enjoyed music, concerts, dancing, fishing, camping, the mountains, cool cars, and hanging out with his fun friends. Artie had a heart of gold – he was very kind and generous and helped many people to get past life situations, assisting them to get back on their feet. He so loved his family and his friends. Artie is survived by his two cats, Enzo and Chewy. He is also survived by six siblings - Beverly Cloyes (David), Barbara Nordstrom, Robert (Nancy), Rodney (Virginia Ridgeway), Karen Young (Rick), and Ronald, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many awesome friends (these too were his family).
Funeral services will take place at Horan and McConaty, 80th and Wadsworth on Wednesday, July 19; viewing begins at 10:00 a.m., service begins at 11:00 a.m. Reception afterward at Rock Rest Lodge.
