Artie Lewis Jeane passed away on July 9, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. He was born October 10, 1956 in Leesville, La, the fifth of six children to Isaac & Evelyn Jeane. He was raised on a farm near Leesville & graduated from Leesville High School in 1974. While attending Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. he was very active in ROTC. He was a member of the Black Knights precision drill team. In 1978 he graduated earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. By this time everyone but his family knew him as Art. After graduation he went on active duty as an Armored Calvary 2nd Lieutenant. He served eight years of active duty and twelve years in the Army Reserves. He attended the US Army Command & General Staff College retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. Art worked in several companies as a Quality Assurance Software Tester, Analyst & Consultant. His hobbies included hunting, firearms collecting, reading, participating in medieval reenactment events and enjoying his Colorado mountains. Art was known for his intellect and sharp wit. He was kind to those who couldn't , but demanding of those who wouldn't. Preceding him in death were his parents, Isaac & Evelyn Jeane, and infant brother Leo William Jeane. He is survived by his long time companion Geneva Ziegler of Denver CO; his brothers; Lynn(Pat) Jeane, Wichita KS, Reuben (Beverly) Jeane, Amarillo Tx , sisters; Iverle (Mike) Tomblin, Granbury TX Joyce Jeane Latiolais (Julia Guerra) , Houston TX. He is also survived by five nephews and four nieces, aunt and cousins who always wanted to know what Art was up to and many friends. We will miss him but know he is with our parents watching over us all. We thank all of you for your support and kindness at this difficult time.
