Aud "Grynet" Lonnebotn

Aud "Grynet" Lonnebotn, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022, with family by her side, surrounded by the beautiful snow-capped mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado. Grynet was born and raised in Trondheim, Norway where she completed her Bachelor of Nursing Degree.  In September of 1965, Grynet immigrated to the United States with her former husband Trygve and settled in Madison, Wisconsin.  In addition to raising her two children, she enjoyed a fulfilling 30-year career as an orthopedic nurse. Grynet is survived by her family in Norway as well as family and friends in the United States who fondly knew her as Mormor. Grynet was proud of being Norwegian, enjoyed life to the fullest, took great pride in her flower gardens and always delighted in her grandchildren's adventures. Grynet also always did things on her terms, let you know what was on her mind, and was never one to miss a party. Grynet's life will be celebrated with cocktails, good food and stories at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, 8390 Market Street in Middleton, Wisconsin on Friday, February 11th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  All friends are invited to come and share a happy memory.  The family respectfully requests that all attendees are vaccinated, and masks are required. Grynet will be interred at Moholt Kirke in Trondheim, Norway later this summer.
