Audrey Nina Brodt, resident of Littleton, Colorado passed away on November 7 with her daughter Brenda at her bedside. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Audrey was a bright light in the heart of everyone she met over her life's journey. Audrey had a deep love of learning which led her to achieve many educational milestones. She completed her undergraduate degree at Denison University in 1958. Later, after marrying and starting a family, she returned to school at Loyola University and earned her Masters Degree in Psychology in 1967. Audrey began her professional career in psychology working at the Read Zone Center, Portage-Craigin Mental Health and the Alfred Adler Institute. Upon the heals of several years of interesting work she went on to complete her Doctorate Degree in Psychology at Northwestern University in 1983. While working in Chicago Audrey was also a proud founding member of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In 1983 Audrey followed her heart's desire and moved to Denver, Colorado. She continued her career path working as a private practice psychotherapist. Audrey also worked as a business consultant and as a Denver radio talk show host. Audrey loved sunshine, peace, animals and nature. Audrey is survived by her brother Robert, her daughters Brenda, Pam, and Valerie, and her grandchildren Cody, Marco, Dillon, Kyra, Alexa and Haley. It was Audrey's wishes to have a ""simple funeral with flowers kept to a minimum and to be cremated."" Should friends desire, contributions can be made to her beloved wildlife.
