Audrey Ruth Klaversma

Audrey Ruth Riddering Klaversma, passed away March 29, 2019 at the age of 89 in Centennial, Colorado. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 22, 1929 to Albert George Riddering and Barbara Marie (Dietz) Riddering, the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Don Riddering, Barbara Riddering Cook and Jim Riddering.

Audrey worked for many years in the healthcare industry in a number of administrative and accounting positions. She retired at the age of 65 and soon after found that retirement did not suit her. It was then that she began working at Walmart as a greeter, where she loved interacting with people. She retired permanently at the age of 80 when she was no longer physically able to fulfill the requirements of the job.

Audrey loved to travel, especially on cruises with friends, mountain trips in Colorado with family, and returning to Michigan where she loved walking on the beach. She was an avid reader and could knit anything from sweaters to scarves to hats and afghans.

Above all, Audrey loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She taught them all about work, love, respect and loyalty.

Audrey is survived by her daughter Dianne Klaversma Whitmill; sons, David (Laura) Klaversma and Donald (Karen) Klaversma; Grandchildren, Angela (Tyler) Monson, Nicole (Chris) Snelgrove, Jennifer (Tom) Peterson, Amanda (Collin) Earl, Bryan (Brooke) Gogarty, Christina (Jared) Wandry and Heather Young; Great grandchildren, Hunter, Jakob, Lily, Tori, Brayden, Marlee, Sophie, Lizzie, Logan, Kenna, Owen, Gavin, Liam, Isaac, Jamison, Greyden, Elise, Cole, Allie, Vanessa and Ryan; and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5175 South Picadilly Street, Aurora, CO 80015. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church.

Burial will be at Saint Simeon Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado.
