August "Gus" Pickard

August “Gus” Pickard passed away due to complications of congenital heart disease on February 4th, 2024. Gus was born on December 10th, 2023 to parents Sara Puening and Will Pickard. Right from birth Gus was strong and curious. He loved to hold his head up and take in the world with wide-eyed wonder. A lover of pandas, he would happily study the panda page of his board book for minutes on end.  

His strength carried him through six amazing weeks with us despite the defects in his heart. We will forever cherish the memories of our time with him. Our hearts are forever his. His was so loved and so wanted.

 Gus is survived by his loving parents, Sara and Will, his sister, Maeve, and grandparents Lydia, Dennis, Anne, and Rusty. A celebration of life will be held on February 24th at 10:30 AM at Horan & McContay, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80112.
