Bacilia Isabel Gould

Bacilia Isabel Gould, age 92, went home to our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven on November 30th, 2024. She was born in Cokedale, Colorado to Felix Lopez and Juanita Lopez (Apodaca), and grew up in nearby Trinidad. She met and married her husband, Theodore Gould, in Chicago and traveled with him throughout the US and Europe. She had fond memories of her experiences in Italy and Germany. She worked for 25 years as a teacher assistant at North Middle School in Aurora, Colorado. She was grateful for the time she was able to personally help many students with reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Mrs. Gould was an avid reader. She enjoyed building jigsaw puzzles every day. She took care of her 2 dogs Floppy and Ausie. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought joy to her heart.

She is survived by her children, Theodore, Joseph, Patrick, Evelyn, Diane, and Liane, as well as 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Zenon, Felix, and Eugene. She was preceded in death by her husband, and 11 brothers and sisters.

On December 13th, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan, Colorado, there will be Visitation at 11 am, a Rosary at 11:30 am, and a funeral Holy Mass at noon. Burial services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A, at 1:30pm. Those wishing to attend the burial service must arrive by 1:15pm.
