Barbara Ann Toslosky (Babs) of Heather Gardens, Aurora, CO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, surrounded by her family. Babs is survived by her daughter, Tammy; her son, Jay; Jay's wife, Claire; her grandchildren, Thomas and Eleanor; and her sister-in-law Barbara Foster. Babs was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Jack Toslosky, her parents, Caroline and Leo Kryznowek of Duryea, Pennsylvania and her brothers, Gerard Kriss and Ted Kriss.
Babs went to college at Penn State and West Virginia State University graduating with a degree in nutrition. Later in life, she went to Loyola University Chicago, graduating with a master in social work. Babs worked in real estate for several decades and worked in social work in her later years.
Babs and Jack lived in Charleston, WV; Moorestown, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Barrington, IL and Aurora, CO. In each place, Babs reached out and made deep friendships. Babs was a passionate competitor at golf, tennis, bridge, and card games. She was a member of Lake Barrington Shores Golf Club. She also loved book clubs, cooking, and gardening. Babs touched the lives of her extended family and friends through her kindness and practical wisdom. Babs demonstrated enduring love and compassion in the face of multiple hardships. Babs fought strongly against COPD for many years before she passed.
A memorial service to honor the life of Barbara Ann Toslosky will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday, December 9th, 2024, in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014. A reception will follow at the funeral home's HeartLight Center.
