Barbara (Barby) E. Warren Balas passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on October 15, 2015 in Centennial, Colorado at the age of 62. Barby is survived by her husband, Tim Balas; children, Neil (Maggie) Warren, Sarah Warren, Nathaniel (Amy) Warren; grandchildren, Josephine, Abigail, and Ella; siblings, Theresa French, Camille (James) Roberts, Mary (James) White, Lucy (Marty) Whalen, Julia (Dale) Cado, Margaret (Mel) Trafford. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Janet Mary French, her brothers, Thomas and Neil Mark French. Barby was born on December 19, 1952 in Garland, Texas. She graduated from University of Phoenix in 1994 with a degree in Business Management. A generous mother, Barby welcomed three children and encouraged them each to achieve their best and pursue their dreams. Barby met her life love, Tim Balas, in 1985 and they later married. She will be remembered by her family and friends as an intelligent, beautiful, and vibrant woman who had a flare for style and a joyous sense of humor. She was an avid golfer and volunteered for multiple charities. Barby was passionate about cooking and loved outdoor activity and adventure. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30am Friday, October 23, 2015 at Horan McConaty at 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO, 80122, with a reception to follow at Maggiano's at I-25 and Dry Creek. Deacon Sam Lopez will officiate the ceremony. A second service will be held in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in December 2015. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barby's life.
