Barbara J. Behm

Barbara J. Behm, 67, of Westminster, Colorado passed away September 19, 2012. She was born on August 7, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter, daughter of the late Herbert and Betty Gray of Dayton Ohio. In December 1966 she married David Behm and settled in Westminster to raise her family. Barbara was a brilliant flutist, businesswoman, business owner, and published author. Barbara was the recipient of many awards in band, orchestra, Toastmaster's and was a world-wide expert in the field of computerized embroidery. Barbara was awarded the Floriani award in 2005 for excellence in education for the computerized embroidery industry. Her hobbies included tending her rose garden, painting Eastern Star, The Denver Alry Flute Choir, President of Westminster Newcomer's Club, Toastmaster's, bowling leagues, board games and April Fools jokes. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David W. Behm; children, Stephen M. Behm & his wife Tara of San Pedro, CA, and Susan E. Burgdoff & her husband Jeffery; brothers, Robert and Tom Gray; and grandchildren, Ashley Bennet, Andrew Burgdoff, Avery and Kenzie Behm. Memorial Service will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 2:00PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado.
