Barbara ""Bobbie"" Lucille Capra, was a first generation American born in Denver, Colorado, November 19, 1923 to Joseph Frank Zangari and Giovannina Elena Libra (Jennie Helen DiYorio.) With her parents emigrating from Italy to the US, Bobbie was fond of saying she was FBI â or Full Blooded Italian. She passed away peacefully at Lutheran Collier Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, October 2, 2016 at age 92. Bobbie was the middle of three daughters and drew her spirit and spunk from having to survive as ""The Middle Child."" She met her husband, Joseph, when she accepted a ride from him because she was late for work and thought Joe was his brother. Joe and Bobbie married on July 6, 1947. She found it difficult to impress upon her children the importance of not accepting rides from strangers when that is exactly what she had done! Bobbie is survived by daughter Loretta Capra, her Son-in-Law Bill Ellis, son Tom Capra, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Joe, on October 22, 1993 and by her parents and two sisters, Adeline (Ed) Viles and Ruth (Warren) Weikle. The Rosary will be held Thursday, October 6, 6:30 PM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 7:00 PM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4377 Utica Street, Denver. Burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery will be private.
