Barbara Davidson

Barbara Lamb Cranham Davidson passed away peacefully at the home she shared with her daughter Karen for the past 18 years. She was 95 years old, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 8, 1928 and passed in Parker, Colorado January 12, 2024.

Barbara was full of life and tended to take care of the people around her. At five years old, her parents divorced and she moved to Toronto, Canada with her mother, Virginia Rogers and her sister, Jean. She attended the prestigious Brown School and Havergal College in Toronto. During her university years she moved to McDonald College in St. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec. Barbara became a cheerleader in college and met her future husband, Colin Cranham there.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Karen, Scott and John Cranham; John's wife, Kim Kelly Cranham and their three children Cornel, Kaitlin and Kristen; also surviving her are her three step-children, Philip, Rob and Tim Davidson. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, her sister Jean MacDonald her half-brother John Davis and her life-long friend Margie Harling.

Throughout Barbara's life, she was able to overcome many difficult trials. She managed these times with a tough positive attitude and a spiritual strength which she successfully handed down to her children. "Now I lay me down to sleep" was a night time prayer for the youngsters and morning wake-up were "rise and shine", "up and at 'em" as the curtains were being opened.

Following a difficult divorce from her first marriage, Barbara was very fortunate to meet Harold Davidson who she married 5 years later. Harold was the love of her life and they shared a remarkable 28 years together. There were very few trials during these times but many tribulations. Barbara learned she had the capacity to work professionally during this time. Harold was extremely empowering and they both flourished together. Barbara's favorite work experience was at A & A Construction which built many of the finest homes surrounding Richmond, Virginia. As office manager, Barbara was very busy. Harold and Barbara truly completed one another and it was a joy to share their happiness. Harold passed away 18 years ago in the fall of 2006.
