Barbara Jean Lewis

Barbara, 77, of Westminster, Colorado passed away December 16, 2012. She retired as a Nurse Practitioner from the Villas at Sunny Acres after a career in the nursing field for over 25 years. Barbara's pride and joy was evident in her love for her family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl ""Bud"" Lewis, after almost 50 years of marriage. Her siblings, Rita Sigman, Doris Birchard, and Jason Birchard, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Paul) Asmussen, David (Deanna) Lewis, Maria (David) Robinson; grandchildren, Jacob Ryan Asmussen, Jaymie Lynne Asmussen, Dana Lee Lewis, Dillon Mason Lewis, Christopher David Robinson, and Kyle Duane Robinson; great grandchildren, Cooper Lloyd Beeman and Kylie Jean Beeman; siblings, Sister Genevieve Birchard, Leo Birchard, Robert Birchard, Harold Birchard, Lucille Miller, and Rose Caswell; and extended family, friends, and patients. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2012, from 12:00 noon - 7:00 pm, followed by Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, December 21, 2012, beginning at 1:00 pm, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3141 West 96th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado. Interment follows at 3:15 pm Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""C"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
