Barbara A. Mahoney

Barbara, 81, of Arvada, Colorado, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015, surrounded by family and friends, at Collier Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Barbara was born September 12, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to James & Margaret Koning. She married Dr. Ronald D. Mahoney, D.D.S. on August 25, 1956, whom survives her. She is also survived by her children, S. Michael (Tawnya) Mahoney, Dr. S. Patrick (Sharon) Mahoney, Mary Maureen (Chris) Williams, Brian Mahoney and Daniel Mahoney; grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Ryan Williams, Keenan (Jodi) Mahoney and Tara (Nils) Howard; great grandchildren, Kane Mahoney, Sage Mahoney, Cyrus Mahoney, Jordan Mahoney, Erick Howard and Evan Howard; and siblings, Dr. T. Michael (Mary Jo) Koning, D.D.S., of Upland, California and Kathryn (Max) Dodson, of Golden, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Dr. James Koning, D.D.S. and Mary Lombardi. Barbara will be missed as a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Recitation of the Rosary will be said Tuesday, October 13, 2015, beginning at 7 PM with Funeral Mass celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 10 AM, both at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 West 58th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado 80002. Burial will follow at 1:15 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery - Staging Area ""C,"" 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado.
