Barbara Osborne

Barbara Louise Osborne, age 79, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on May 27th, 2023. She was born on June 29th, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to Melvin Samuel and Minnie Louise (Baker) Parker.

She went on to have a longtime career working for the Denver Post for 46 years, from 1962-2008.

Barbara married her late husband, Wes Osborne, on December 20th, 1968. They were married for 38 years until his passing on July 4th, 2007.

She lived in Denver on S. Newton Street for 47 years, before moving in with her niece and nephew-in-law, Carolyn and Steven, in September of 2019.

Barbara spent her free time enjoying word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, listening to music and watching Hallmark movies. When she lived at her address on S. Newton Street, she looked forward to watching “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Bachelor” with her friend, Gail, and their time together talking about life and family.

She will be remembered for being kind, independent, stubborn, and always being the caregiver.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Samuel and Minnie Louise (Baker) Parker; husband, Wes Osborne; her sister, Catherine Betz, and her brother, Charles Parker.

She is survived by her nieces, Carolyn, Debbie, and Karla; her nephews, Frank and Chuck; and her great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Her family and friends will miss her but remember her always.

A Funeral Service will be held at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227 on Monday, June 5th at 10am. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following.
