Barbara Mary Sage

Barbara Sage of Littleton entered Heaven on Thursday, December 21st, at the age of 86 after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 28, 1931 in Doylestown, Ohio to Leo and Laura Whitman. Barb was the fifth oldest of twelve children. She is survived by Bob, her loving husband of 65 years; their five children: Jeannie (Bill) of Chico, CA; Dave (Ann) of Woodland Hills,CA; Kevin of Kiowa; Michelle (David) of Highlands Ranch; and Phil (Laura) also of Highlands Ranch; nine grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers; and lots of extended relatives living in various states. Barb was a devout Catholic and attended St. Mary Church in Littleton for over 35 years. She was exceptionally kind, personable and deeply devoted to Bob and her family. Barb truly had the gift of hospitality and was an awesome cook. She also baked delicious lemon meringue pies and killer cinnamon pecan rolls! In her younger days, Barb was an avid bridge player, loved to read and really enjoyed camping. Funeral Mass Thursday, December 28th, 10:00 AM, Horan & McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. Barbara will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:00 PM. A celebration of life reception will be scheduled at a later date.
