Barbara Talamantes

July 5, 1932 — December 29, 2021

Barbara Nell Talamantes, 89, of Aurora, Colorado passed away at her home on December 29, 2021. She was born on July 5, 1932 in Arkansas to John and Tassye Payne.

She married Santiago Talamantes on June 21, 1952. As a military wife, Barbara traveled around the country and to South America always caring for her family.  She was active in church and the school activities of her children.  She later earned her realtor’s license and enjoyed helping friends and family finding new homes.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Santiago and six children, Linda Karlin, Wabash, Indiana, Daniel (Jamie) Talamantes, Highlands Ranch, Laura Talamantes, Aurora, Michael (Palma) Talamantes, Greenwood Village, Maria Talamantes, Englewood, and Janice (Roger) Miller, Parker, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Glenda Johnston, Reedley, California and other friends and family.  She was preceeded in death by two sons, Mark and Joel Talamantes and her brother Marcus Payne.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 8th at 10:30 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 11453 E Wesley Ave, Aurora, CO 80014.
