Barbara Ann Tynan

December 14, 1954 — January 2, 2007

Barbara Ann (Kelly) Tynan, 52. Wife of Patrick A. Tynan, passed away on January 2, 2007. Barbi was born and raised in Denver, the fourth of six children of Jim and Rita Kelly. She is best known for her love and loyalty for family and friends, her boundless spirit and keen sense of humor. Barbi graduated from George Washington High School. She and Pat were married in 1983 and they relocated to Austin, TX, where she was responsible for training new employees for Chuy's restaurants. Barbi suffered and rebounded from a debilitating stroke in 1987 and during this time - as much as after - she best showed her strength of character, conviction and joy for living. Barbi took endless delight in her nieces and nephews and helped to shape their quick wits and sense of fun. She had an incredible memory and never forgot a birthday or to bring her trademark cupcakes - some up, some down. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbi is survived by her five siblings, Tom (Diane), Mike (Claudette), Pat (Kathy), Susie (John) and Danny (Lisa); 14 nieces and nephews, and her godfather Richard O. (Dorothy) Campbell. She is also survived by Pat's siblings Joan, Kelly (Bernadette), Meghan and 3 nieces and nephews. Barbi will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to cross paths with her and benefit from her welcome smile and infectious, ready laugh. Memorial Mass will be 3:30 Friday, Church of the Risen Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roundup Fellowship, 2250 S. Oneida, Suite 201, Denver, CO 80224, to benefit her nephew Neal Kelly.
