Barbara Vest

Barbara A. Vest gained her Angel wings on January 4, 2021, at her home with her family by her side at the age of 83. Barbara was born on November 17, 1937 in Denver Colorado to Alfred “Fred” and Bernadine “Bebe”  Apodaca. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Donald Vest. Barbara is also survived by her 4 children: Babette Thornton, Donna VanBuskirk (Robert), Gregory Vest (Alice), Russell Vest (Donna); 4 grandchildren-Michelle Martinez (Rudy Jr), Tim Thornton, Matthew Thornton (Megan), Russell Dutton (Jena); 8 great grandchildren-Tyler, Trenton, Cameron, Rudy III, Leland, Hailie, Bryson and Jordyn. Barbara is also survived by her brother Fred Apodaca (Connie). She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Alfred “Fred” Apodaca; mother Bernadine “Bebe” Rivera Apodaca; and her daughter Natalie Vest.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She was also devoted to her Catholic faith.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 10-11am, followed by Funeral Mass at 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton. Current restrictions only allow 100 guests to attend the service. Private family burial to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
