Barrie T. Whitmore

January 27, 1937 — October 19, 2011

Barrie T. Whitmore went to be with the Lord, October 19, 2011, at Porter Hospital Hospice Center. He passed away peacefully holding hands with his loving wife of 39 years, Eileen Whitmore. Also survived by son, Bryan Whitmore of Arlington, MA; daughter, Wendy Whitmore of San Diego; brother, Robert Whitmore; sister, Patricia Allsup, both of Pueblo; many loving nieces and nephews and his loving canine companion, Concha. Barrie has joined parents Catherine and Chester Whitmore and brother, Richard Whitmore in Heaven. Born January 27, 1937 in Washington, D.C. Barrie was a graduate of Pueblo Centennial High School and CSU. He excelled in marketing and sales for 41 years, retiring from Siemens Energy and Automation in 2001. An active member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Barrie was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 9349; member of the 4th Degree St. Padre Pio; Naval Reserves for 10 years. Next to God, family and friends, Barrie was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan, serious golfer and loved jazz. He and Eileen made precious memories traveling, especially winters in Palm Springs. He will be missed by many. Viewing and Rosary services at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Tues. Oct. 25, 7:30 pm. Mass at St. Frances Cabrini, 6673 W. Chatfield, Littleton, Wed., Oct 26 at 10:30 am. Reception following, 11:30-1:00. Interment, Thurs., Oct. 27 at 11:30 am, Imperial Gardens, Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barrie to Jesus Our Hope Hermitage, 10519 S. Deer Creek Rd., Littleton, CO 80127-9528.
