Barry Lyle Hett, 68 years of age, of Aurora, Colorado. Barry passed away on January 18, 2011 after battling colon cancer. Barry was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Born on September 27, 1942 in Hinsdale, Illinois, Barry was the son of the late Lyle and Inez Hett. Barry is survived by his wife Vicki Hett of 18 years, son Jeff Hett of Chicago, IL, daughter Danielle Esposito with husband Frank and grandchildren Justin and Karissa of Wilmington, IL, and daughters Crystal Blohm with husband Eric, and Cailey Hett of Aurora, CO. Also survived by brothers John Hett and wife Bev, of Aurora, IL, and Dave Hett and wife Mona, of Columbus, OH. Barry was honored to serve in the U.S. Army from 1962-65, stationed in Germany. He served in the Ordnance Corps as a Specialist. After the military he married and lived on a farm with wife Joan and had kids Jeff and Danielle in Sheridan, IL. He later moved to Aurora, CO and became a Superintendent at Reidy Metal Services, where he has worked for 25 years. He met and married Vicki with daughter Crystal, and they had daughter Cailey. Barry's hobbies include hot rods and drag strips, which was a highlight of his life. He loved listening to 50's music and reminiscing of that era. He also enjoyed gardening, and was looking forward to once again raising chickens after retirement. Barry touched many people's lives and was loved by everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at Hope Fellowship Church, 7140 South Colorado Boulevard, Centennial, Colorado on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM. Following the service will be food and gathering at Fellowship Hall (downstairs). Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Avenue.
