Bayard K. Sweeney

Bayard K. Sweeney, Jr. passed away at his home February 18, 2007 at the age of 93. Born June 22, 1913, the eldest son of Bayard K. Sweeney and Florence McConnell Sweeney. Known to his friends as Bud. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Anne Shepard Sweeney; sister Florence Mary Olmsted; brothers John F. Sweeney and George C. Sweeney; son Shepard; and daughter Karen Sweeney Rapson. Survived by his second wife, Anne Freyer Sweeney; sons Bayard K. "Barry" Sweeney (Georgia) and Kevin McConnell Sweeney; daughter in law Gregg Ann Sweeney; son in law William Rapson; grandchildren, Bayard K. "Bob" Sweeney IV, Nicholas Sweeney, Christopher Sweeney, Dana Trujillo, Suzanne Wilson, Lynn Milek, Michelle Cooper, Patrick Sweeney, Charlotte Sweeney, Steven Sweeney, Sean Sweeney, Anne Sweeney, W. David Rapson and Anne Shepard Rapson; and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass, Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 3310 S. Sherman. Private family burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
