Beatrice C. Roybal, age 95, peacefully passed away at Life Care Center of Littleton on December 4th, 2021.
Born on December 20th 1925, in Cokedale, Colorado. she lived in Hawthorn Nevada after WW II before moving to Aurora and Denver, Colorado where she lived a rich and full life.
Survivors include her sons Ronald and Michael Roybal; grandchildren Colin, Alex, Mallory, Kirstin and Kelsey Roybal, and great grandchildren Phylani and Nicolai. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband John J. Roybal, son John A. Roybal Jr., and parents Epifano and Monica Dominquez.
Beatrice grew up in a large family with loving parents. She was born in the small coal mining town in southern Colorado of Cokedale. Cokedale was a small corporate mining town with a true sense of community. Beatrice had fond memories of being raised in such a closeknit community.
She met John Roybal at a local dance in the Trinidad, CO area. Bea always told a fun story of John stepping all over her on their first dance, but that did not deter them from getting married and sharing a wonderful 70 years together. John was a Marine in World War II and served in the South Pacific for over three years. When he returned to the U.S., they began their family in Hawthorn Nevada. John Jr. and Ronald Roybal were born in Hawthorn, Nevada and Michael was born in Denver, Colorado.
John and Beatrice spent the rest of their years in the Denver metro area.
Her children always recognized her as the BEST MOM. and later in life she was rightfully designated as the BEST GRANDMA. As a dedicated and loving mother of three, she always was there for her children, rain or shine. She would not miss a wrestling match, gymnastic tournament, baseball game, softball game, theatrical play, recital, horseback riding event, sailing regatta or any and all activities in which her sons or grandchildren participated. She gave unlimited support and love to all of her children and grandchildren.
She was the type of person that giving meant much more to than receiving. Bea loved being part of the holidays, especially Christmas because this was a time to GIVE to people she loved. She enjoyed traveling and sharing family adventures.
Bea had many devoted friends throughout the years because she always was fun to be with and was a loving and giving friend to all.
May you Rest in Peace, Beatrice, and join the friends and family that have passed before you.
