Beatrice White was born on December 18, 1939 and passed away from this life on April 5, 2023 at the age of 83. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Violet, her brother John (died in infancy), her sister Mary, her sister June, her brother Charles, and her twin sister Barbara with whom she had a special bond. She is survived by her cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved much.
She attended Mount Saint Gertrude in Boulder as a child. She joined the BVM (Blessed Virgin Mary) religious order and attended and graduated with a bachelors from Mundelein Catholic school for women, a school founded by the BVM. After attending Mundelein, Bea worked in rural schools of Iowa during the school year and attended university and graduated with a masters in biology at the University of Georgia. She would often talk of the summers she spent taking classes there. Bea returned to Denver after her father's death and worked with the Catholic churches in Boulder as an administrator. She then took a job teaching in Aurora public schools preparing her for her ultimate job of working at a detention center, Lookout Mountain School For Boys, then retired in the late 90's.
After retirement, Bea stayed busy with many friendships and works of mercy throughout the rest of life. She ran an ESL program for migrants in Brighton for years, she helped them with food, shelter and being an advocate to the workers and their families. Bea was active in the church community and participated in several groups at Spirit of Christ. She cherished her relationships with all of those who were in the groups. She helped feed the poor weekly at The Rising in Old Town Arvada, she stayed at overnight shelters on cold nights to chaperone and support the homeless, she helped feed and support homeless mothers with children when they stayed at Spirit of Christ and so much more.
Bea loved everyone and cherished all the relationships in her life, she lived for her family and friends. She wrote, talked, and got together often with her friends and family. Bea loved playing cards, she would meet up with her friends weekly and would play anytime she could get the family to play and was very competitive. Bea loved to plan get togethers with family and friends. Some that stand out to us all were her summer picnics in the mountains and family reunions.
She enjoyed sending out cards for everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, times of loss and hardships, and wrote messages in all. Bea always had a soft spot for animals especially her cat Snowball whom she loved.
Bea lived a full life and will be missed on earth.
May her soul rest in the peace of Our Lord in heaven!
