Benny Molinaro

April 22, 1935 — June 29, 2020

Benny Joe Molinaro, 85, of Welby, passed away on June 29, 2020 after a brief stay at The Villas at Sunny Acres. Born on April 22, 1935 in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Saverio and Rosina (Cosentino) Molinaro. Benny married Patricia (Ungehire) on June 30, 1955 and together they shared 55 years of marriage until her passing in 2010.

Benny served 5 years in the United States Army and after worked as a Local 435 warehouseman for 42 years. He enjoyed working at Colorado Lighting and collecting and recycling scrap metal. He will be remembered for his love of his family and his strong work ethic.

He is survived by his children: Ed & Stacey Molinaro, Kim Molinaro-Pinnt & Paul Pinnt, Mike & Cindy Molinaro and Dana Molinaro-Smith & Steve Smith, his grandchildren: John Molinaro, Michael Jr. & Melissa Molinaro, Raymond Faulkner, Mark & Dominique Molinaro, Rich Czerniak, Dustin Molinaro, and Emily Molinaro, his great-grandchildren: Austin & Antonia Molinaro, and Brayden Czerniak, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, wife and grandson Joe Molinaro he is preceded in death by his siblings Constantino Molinaro, Yolanda LaRusso, Frank Molinaro, Helen Schultz, Vera Zupancic.

The Rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 7:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St. Thornton, CO 80229.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 11:30 am at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary, 2361 E. 78 th Ave. Welby, CO 80229 followed by burial with military honors at 2:00pm at Staging Area A at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80235.
