Registered Nurse, 83, passed away July 16, 2008. Beloved wife of Donald L. France for 57 years; loving mother of Shelley Perkins, Susan France and Diane Niemiec; proud grandmother of Garrison and Sierra Niemiec of Colorado. Also survived by sisters, Nidge Petersen, Dolores McNamara, Phyllie Aeschliman and Sharron Gehrig of Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews of Colorado and Wisconsin. Preceded in death by her Irish parents, Frank and Margaret Dunphy; brother Lawrence Dunphy; sisters Mary Klett and Joann Germann. Bernadine, born April 6, 1925, was raised on a farm in Albany, Wisconsin. She received her B.S. in Nursing from Marquette University in 1946. She subsequently moved to Colorado to work at Colorado General where she met and eventually married Donald on February 3, 1951. Once her 3 children were all of school age, she resumed her career as a school nurse in the Littleton and ultimately the Englewood School System where she was admired by both students and faculty until her retirement. She was a long-time member of the Altar & Rosary Society of All Souls Parish, Englewood, CO. The family will receive friends and relatives at Horant & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO on Tuesday, July 22nd from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Rosary, Mass and Reception will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 23rd at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 South Logan Street, Englewood, CO, 80113. Burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
