Bernadine Shuba

Bernadine "Bernie" A. Shuba, resident of Denver, died February 19, 2022, at Brookdale University Park.

Bernie was born August 26, 1932, in Oswego, NY, daughter to the late John and Anna Cordean. On August 18, 1956, she married the late Thomas Shuba. Bernie graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from SUNY Oswego. She retired from Lenape Valley High School in Stanhope, NJ where she worked as a high school English teacher for over thirty years.

Bernie and Tom moved to Pennybryn at Maryfield in High Point, NC where they spent their retirement years with friends. After the passing of Tom, she moved to Denver to be with her son, daughter - in ­law and grandsons.

Bernie is survived by her son, Kevin Shuba and wife Lorraine of Castle Rock, CO; grandsons, Christopher Shuba, Stephen Shuba, wife Charlene, great granddaughter Yoona Shuba, also of Colorado.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 25 in the chapel at Horan & McConaty at 1091 S. Colorado Boulevard, Denver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Pennybyrn at Maryfield, 109 Penny Rd. High Point, NC 27262.
