Bette O'Connor Coffey of Denver, Colorado was born on October 6, 1925. Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on January 9, 2016. Bette is survived by her children, Betti Coffey Hatter and Victor Lee Coffey, III; sister, Ann Range; grandchildren & great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor Lee Coffey, Jr. She attended St. Catherine's Grade School and Cathedral High School. She was a talented ballerina and nurse's aid during WWII. While raising her family, she attended Wilton Cake Decorating School & was an active member of St. Dominic PTA & St. Catherine's Altar Rosary Society. In addition, Bette owned Coffey's Cake House, as a professional cake decorator, and later established a fashion jewelry company called Bette's Baubles. Not only was she a wonderful mother to her children, she was an avid dog lover. Her greatest achievement was to be the most loving, caring, supportive mother to her children. She will be missed by not only her devoted family but also by her dear friends that she's known through her 90 years of life. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17 from 3-5pm, followed with a Rosary at 5pm, Horan & McConaty, 3020 Federal Blvd., Denver. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 18, 10:30am, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2771 Zenobia Street, Denver. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
