Bettie J. Nelson

Bettie was born and raised in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. She moved to Colorado after high school to attend CU Boulder. While there, she met her husband, Chet, and they married October 28, 1951. After marrying, Bettie dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Chester Nelson; her three children, Rick Nelson, Scott Nelson and Tamara Clement; her grandchildren, Michael Nelson, Joshua Clement, Tiffany Garcia and Courtney Rudolph; and her great granddaughter, who took on her name, Dakota Betty. Her enthusiasm for life and her ever present smile will be greatly missed. There will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80246. Burial will be 2:15 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, staging area ""C"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO 80235. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bettie's name to the American Cancer Society, 2255 South Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224.
