Betty Jo Ales

Betty Jo (Diehl) Ales, age 85, died in Arvada, CO on December 27, 2024. She was a graduate of Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado and Bethel School of Nursing in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During this time, she met and married Donald Ales who was her husband for 56 years. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and worked in healthcare for 40 years, including over 25 years with the Sequoyah County and Oklahoma State Health Departments. 

Mrs. Ales was an active member of her church and enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family. She also loved to travel. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Settle of Centennial, Colorado, one son, Jerry Ales of Conifer, Colorado, two daughters, Marilyn Johnson of Westminster, Colorado, and Christine Heaps, of Gilbert, Arizona, six grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ales. 

Funeral Services will take place at First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster on Saturday, January 11 at 10 am. A meal will be served for all immediately after the service.
