Born in Denver, Betty lived her entire life in Colorado surrounded by a loving family and the company of long-time friends.
Many will remember Betty as a real estate instructor who helped thousands of people become realtors. Her esteemed career began in 1960 with the encouragement of her mentor, Carl Moss, and continued until her retirement in 2012. She opened Colorado’s first private real estate school in 1962. Betty was the first recipient of the Oliver E. Frascona Lifetime Achievement Award and other awards too numerous to mention.
She is survived by her children Mickie Stover, Rhonda Armbrust, Patrick Armbrust (and wife, Debbie), and Brad Armbrust (and wife, Carolyn). She has eight grandchildren: Todd Schack, Amy Whitehouse, Shane Hurley, Kyle Hurley, Dean Armbrust, Kacie Armbrust, Ashley Compose Armbrust, and Tori Armbrust, and ten great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Her grandchildren will especially miss her expert back scratches, her witty comebacks, and the guidance she was always willing to share.
Upon her death, Betty was reunited with Pat, her dedicated husband of 49 years. She joins her beloved mother, Catherine “Mamie” Bradley, who instilled in Betty a deep spiritual commitment. Her father, Artie Bradley, and her seven siblings who proceeded her in death.
Family and friends will remember her fiery spirit, strong work ethic, intellect, and grand sense of humor. Her kind words, smiles, and conversations will be deeply missed.
