Betty was born Betty Ann Bruce in Muskogee Oklahoma on Nov, 14, 1930.She is the third child of Fletcher Dean Bruce and Adelaide Condon Bruce.She lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1950. She worked at the Tulsa Country Club until she married James Holt Dameron in 1952.She moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky, her daughter was born there in 1953.She and her husband then were transferred to Monterey, California and after three years were transferred to Baltimore, Maryland where her son was born. A year later they were transferred to Germany where she spent the next four years. After moving back to the United States, she moved to Aurora, Colorado and stayed there except for one final transfer to Washington D.C. in 1966. After her husband retired from the Army, they came back to their home in Aurora, Colorado, and she continued working for the Defense Finance Accounting Service. Betty devoted her time to her children and sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting.Betty also enjoyed her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. After retiring from the Defense Finance Accounting Service, she started volunteering at Cunningham Elementary School, the grade school in Aurora that her children had attended. She spent many years helping the teachers and students alike. Betty and Jim also volunteered at the Buckley Pharmacy for many years. She became an honorary member of the Alpha Beta Chapter of the Alpha Delta Kappa Society. She is survived by her two children and their spouses Three Grandchildren and their spouses , five Great Grandchildren Two Sisters, one Brother, three sisters-in-law's and one Brother-in-law.
