Betty C Edler passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022, after a decade-long battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Betty was born October 5, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa to Rev Charles Hyatt Duvall and Musetta Christine Duvall. Betty graduated from the University of Denver Nursing School in 1954. It was in her pursuit of nursing that she met Henry Edler and they married in 1955. Betty devoted her life to raising three children. Once her children were grown, Betty became a founding member of the Denver Lioness chapter. Her passions included gardening, crafting, spoiling her dachshunds, and spending time with her grand children.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry and son Howard. She leaves behind two daughters, Chris Edler and Kati (Dale) Harken, Christopher Valdez and daughter-in-law Diane Edler Valdez, and grand children Austin Edler and Rachel Valdez.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dumb Friends League.
There will be a Celebration of Life and reception, June 9, 2022 from 1PM-4PM at The Inn at Hudson Gardens – 6115 S Santa Fe Dr Littleton CO 80120.
