Betty B. Estep

Betty B. Estep was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania in 1919, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Boettner. Wife of James W. Estep, who preceded her in death after sixty years of marriage. Graduated from Jeannette High School as Valedictorian. Attended Carnegie Institute of Technology and Pittsburgh Business Training College. During World War II, she was employed by American Standard as an Executive Secretary and later by Carnegie Illinois Steel Co. in Pittsburgh. During her marriage, Betty served as her church secretary, was a Sunday School teacher, a Red Cross Gray Lady, Boy Scout Den Mother, and a Hospital Volunteer. During their marriage, Betty and Jim and their three sons lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Worland, WY, and Calgary, Canada. They moved to Littleton in 1974. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Columbine Country Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of Littleton. Betty is survived by three sons, Robert (Marny) Estep, Thomas (Alix) Estep, Gerald (Ann) Estep; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one more on-the-way. Funeral services 10:30 Friday, with visitation beginning at 9:30, Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Hospital Flight for Life-Colorado, 11600 West 2nd Place, Lakewood, CO 80228, or Children's Hospital, 13123 East 16th Avenue, Box 45, Aurora, CO 80045.
