Betty Ann (Omo) Hendricks, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Arvada, Colorado. She was born in ColdWater, Michigan on October 20, 1934 and grew up in Tekonsha, Michigan. Betty graduated as the valedictorian from Tekonsha HighSchool in 1952, received her BSN with honors from Michigan State University in 1956 and a Masters in Nursing from Wayne State in 1958. After graduating Wayne State, she worked as RN at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where she worked as a head nurse until getting married. She married David W. Hendricks in June, 1959. Betty continued to work as a Registered Nurse until 1987. They had three children and were married for over 58 years until her death. After retiring from nursing, she volunteered for SAINTS in Ft. Collins, Colorado driving seniors. She was also a volunteer cook at the homeless shelter run by the Catholic Charities. She was a church elder at Harmony Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed taking pottery classes through the Ft. Collins Parks & Recreation. She also enjoyed travel, both national and international. After David retired from teaching at Colorado State University, in Ft. Collins, they moved to Arvada, Colorado to be closer to their two grandchildren and three children. She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Bridgette and Sara; son, Philip and his wife Lisa; granddaughter, Kelly (Hendricks) Bruesehof and her husband Evan; and grandson, Peter. Betty's brother RB Omo II and his wife, Alex and their four sons also survive her. She is preceded by parents RB Omo and Mina (Thomas) Omo.
