Betty Hessling

Betty A. Hessling, 89, of Alton, KS., formally of Brighton, Co., passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Born on November 22, 1930.

She was the daughter of Donald L. and May (Lamar) Boyer. Betty married her high school sweetheart Roy Hessling on May 24th, 1951, and together they shared 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2017.

She enjoyed time with Family and travelling the Country. She was a member of Grace Church of Sahuarita. Betty worked as an optometry assistant for May Faulkner & Davis.

She will be remembered for her dedication to her Family, her sense of humor, as well as the glue that held the Family together.

Betty is survived by her children: Roy R. Hessling and his wife Betty Jo, Gary G. Hessling and his wife Joanie, Larry L. Hessling and his wife Debbie, Sandra Browne and her husband Gordon, her Grandchildren: Sonia, Roy Ryan, Melissa, Michael, Marilyn, Ellery, Miles, Ashley, Jay Jr., and Tyler.  Great-grandchildren: Alexander, Austin, Troy, Calvin, Madison, Elizabeth, Darrin, Cassidy & Kain. Also survived by Stepbrother Scott Boyer & Stepsister Kay Koontz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11:00am at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St. Thornton, CO 80229, followed by burial at 1:00pm in Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80235
