Betty June (Wolf) was born in Denver, Colorado on June 2, 1929. She was the eldest of 4 children. She was 94 years old when she passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 27, 2023.
Betty attended Garden Place Elementary for her grade school years, Junior High School in Wheat Ridge through the 8th grade and Belleview Preparatory School in Westminster to complete her education and receive her high school diploma.
She and Ted had known each other during high school, but it wasn’t until 6 years later that Ted courted her over several months eventually marrying on October 3, 1953. They added to their family Ted Jr. and twin girls, Colleen and Colette.
Betty’s working days included a number of titles and professions, but her 2 favorite were as a Drapery Manager at Wesco Fabrics and an Instructional Aide at Willow Creek Elementary. Her starring role though was as beloved wife to Ted and devoted Mom to Ted Jr., Colleen and Colette.
Betty was a woman of many talents and enjoyed cooking, hospitality, crocheting, sewing, traveling to Glenwood Springs to fish and soak in the hot springs and many road trips to various parts of the United States.
Betty and Ted attended Englewood Bible Church where Betty was a deaconess. She helped cook many a feast for church events as well as funeral dinners, sewed quilts and layettes, did hospital visitations and also devoted countless hours to the church’s missionary group. She and Ted lived in Willow Creek in Centennial, CO where they played active roles in the community, Ted serving as President of the HOA for 2 terms and Betty serving as First Lady!
Betty and Ted went global after raising their family. In 1990, their travels took them to the island of Bonaire where Ted engineered the fiber optics for the new switch bay and Betty taught English lessons to children. Teaching these young students was a highlight for Betty. Their passport stamps tell a story of Bolivia and beyond, following missionary paths to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. They said Bon Voyage, going on 3 Disney Cruises with their son and daughter-in-law for their 50th, 51st and 52nd wedding anniversaries.
Betty was blessed beyond measure to celebrate a milestone this past October - her 70th wedding anniversary to Ted. Her pride and joy were her 7 grand children and 10 great grandchildren.
Betty was a shining testament to her faith in Jesus and a life well-lived.
Betty is preceded in death by her Father, Henry William Wolf, her Mother, Hazel (Higby) Wolf and her sister, Shirley Wolf. She is survived by her husband Herbert (Ted) Miller, her son, Herbert (Ted) Miller, Jr. (Cathy), and daughters, Colleen (Mike) Henderson and Colette (Cliff) Parker, granddaughters Rachel (Patrick) Hendrix, Chrissy (Christopher) Bales, and grandson Justin Hummell.
