JONES, BETTY JANE HOCH Dec. 6, 1925 '"" Dec. 6, 2004 Betty Jones of Centennial, Colorado passed away on December 6, 2004 in Tomball, Texas at the age of 79. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Don Jones; children, Christine Goodwin and husband Roger of Denver; Louise and husband Monte of Lewisville; Bob Jones and wife Carla of Tomball, TX; Carolyn and husband Craig of Austin, TX. Grandchildren include Sandy and husband Joe, and children, Jennifer, Nicole, Joseph, Jessica, and Joelle; Stephanie and husband Herb and children, Keith and Allison; Donna and husband, Troy and children Sabrina and Jacob; Scott and wife, Tammy and children Kachine and Allan; Megan McCoy-Schratz and husband John; Lauren, Evan, and Kristen Jones and Cambria Carson. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Walker of Bellaire, TX; Bud Hoch and wife Francie of Oklahoma City; brother, Tommy Hoch and wife Joanne of Oklahoma City; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Smith and husband, Phil of Cleveland, OH and Helen Hoch of Oklahoma City and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Betty earned a geology degree in 1948 from the University of Oklahoma. She was an avid golfer her entire life. She was a wonderful cook, baker, seamstress, bridge player, world traveler, and gardener. She was a resilient wife and mother who excelled at 22 Sun Oil Company moves with her family across the Southwest. Members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, CO for 23 years, she and Don volunteered for numerous charities including Marycrest Food Bank, St. Joseph's Catholic Church Food Bank, and Franciscan Friends of the Poor. She was loved by many, many people and never met a stranger. She lived life to the fullest and passed away doing what she loved most, being with her family and contributing her energy and spirit to all who she touched. Visitation 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Horan-McConaty Funeral Home, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd; Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral Mass at 11 AM on December 15, 2004 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
