Betty âBoopâ Lemon
Rest in Peace, Mom.
Betty Lemon, 95, a long-time resident of Littleton, CO, passed away Thursday, the 18th of April, 2019, at Arcadia Glenn Assisted Living in Thornton, and is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph and her son Charles.
Born in 1924 in Omaha, NE, Betty attended Rosary College in Chicago, majoring in English, furthering a lifetime love of reading and writing poetry. She later moved to Sun Valley, ID, where she initially worked in ticket sales for United Airlines and Union Pacific Railroad. In a career shift, she took a position as a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance, as a model for Kodak, and as a clerk at the gift shop inside âThe Lodge at Sun Valley', where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Ralph. They had five children together, and settled in Littleton, Colorado to raise their family, and enjoy the many outdoor sports and activities.
Betty loved people, as much as people loved her, and was thoughtful and giving with everyone she knew, making new acquaintances feel like lifetime friends. She loved good food, entertaining, being with family and friends, and had a wonderful smile and sense of humor, and a youthful spirit that could light up any room.
She is survived by her four children, Kate, Mark, Deborah and Rick, as well as eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all of whom live in Colorado, and brought immense joy to her life.
