Betty June Lundstrom died peacefully at 7:17 AM on November 12, 2018, at the Harvard Square Retirement Community.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 12:30 PM with Pastor Scott Maxwell, Bettyâs grandson, officiating the service. Betty was cremated and her interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery with her husband.
Betty was born in Tekamah, Nebraska, on June 22, 1922, to William Gibbons and Alma (Suchanick) Gibbons. She graduated from Tekamah High School. She married Justin Frank Lundstrom on October 9, 1939. To this union, two children were born: Eric Justin and Julienne Kay. The family lived in Peoria, Illinois, for 4 years. During Justinâs time in the Navy, Betty and her two children lived in Tekamah, Nebraska. After Justinâs discharge from the Navy, the family moved to Denver, Colorado.
Betty was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful homemaker to her family and, also, loved to knit, do needlework, and play bridge.
Betty is survived by her son, Eric; daughter Julienne (Lynn) Walworth; grandchildren Kim (Tom) Morrow and Scott (Kim) Maxwell and Justin Walworth; five great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin, her parents, and her brothers and sisters.
