Betty Mcdonnell

Betty Ruth McDonnell, age 95, July 11, 1926 - March 15, 2022. Born and raised in Nebraska City, NE, she married her high school sweetheart, Harvey Mead. They lived a life of travel with the Air Force until Harvey passed away after they had settled in Denver. She had a career in civil service and re-kindled her life as a soloist and performer in variety shows at Heather Gardens Frolics events. She also served as an Ambassador helping travelers at DIA. She married Robert McDonnell and they enjoyed many years of golf and travel until he passed away.

Betty was predeceased by her son, Michael (Judy), husbands Harvey and Robert, sister Donna Rae Swinney, stepson Tim (Gail), and stepdaughter Maureen. She is survived by stepson Bob McDonnell (Kristen), grandchildren Justin Mead (Tammy), Jennifer Milner (Greg), Christopher Sexton (Christi), Cathy King (David), Shaunessy McDonnell, Kaleigh McDonnell, Phillip McDonnell, Brad McDonnell (Anna), Brooke Libman (Yakov), and four great grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, 11:30 am at Horan & McConaty chapel located at 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue with internment following at Fairmount Cemetery.
