Betty Joan Schranck

Betty, 78, of Denver, was born on November 15, 1938 in Hotchkiss, Colorado to August & Anne Gagnon. She passed away peacefully in the company of her family on Friday evening, December 30, 2016. Betty had a deep love for her many family members and the Colorado mountains. Through her years in Colorado, she had a particular love for South Western Colorado, where she would spend much time with family. Betty is survived by her children, Terri Roza and Richard Chambers; grandchildren, Isaac (Kayla) Chambers, Brittany (Jerry) Hackworth, Nathan Chambers, Tony Roza, and Nicholas Roza; great-grandchildren Braxton Chambers, Jazlynn Hackworth, and Lachlan Hackworth; siblings Clyde (Paulette) Gagnon, Patricia (Larry) Gatton, and Duane (Debbie) Gagnon; 18 nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Anne Stalcar and August A. Gagnon, and her beloved husband, Peter Schranck. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. Graveside Services will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 9:15AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area 'C', 4400 West Kenyon Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80236.
