Betty Stites

STITES, BETTY KOBLER Betty Kobler Stites, beloved wife of Frank Stites, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009, surrounded by her family. Betty was born to Gertrude and Arthur Kobler, October 29, 1927, in Penokee, Kansas. She married Frank Stites on February 18, 1947 in Penokee. They moved to Wheat Ridge, where they spent their years together. Betty liked to say she had an important career as a ""household executive,"" managing a household, raising kids and being active in the community. Betty Stites is survived by her husband, Frank Stites; her son, Mike Stites of Wheat Ridge and his wife, Juanita; her daughter, Susan Stites of Denver; and her daughter, Nancy Talmey and her husband, Paul of Telluride. She is also survived by her sister Leona Hill of Manhattan, Kansas, her grandchildren Korey and Sara Stites of Arvada, and Breana Stites and her daughter, Sydney Watson of Arvada. Services will be private.
