Betty Ann Sullivan

Betty Ann Sullivan, 84, of Denver, passed away August 6, 2024. She was born in Elbert County Colorado- the 5th of 9 children to Clinton and Margaret Ayers. She moved to Englewood Colorado at the age of 12, and attended Englewood High School. 

Betty married Daniel J Sullivan in 1961, and together they raised 6 children, and was a proud grandma to 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Family meant everything to Betty. She insisted on weekly Sunday dinners, hosted large family gatherings at the holidays, and loved her annual trips to visit with her brothers and sisters.

Betty was an active member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church. She served many years as a Eucaristic Minister, a member of a Renew group and worked at the school as a beloved teacher assistant for over 20 years. 

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sullivan, eldest daughter Peggy, her parents Clinton and Margaret Ayers, her brothers Jim, Larry, and sisters Helen, Dorthy, and Gladys. 

She is survived by her children Dan Jr, Tim (Lisa), Colleen (Bill), Katie (Brett), and Karrie (Matt); and her beloved Grandchildren Kyle (Shannon), Dani, Alex (Meghan), Marena, Cooper, Hudson; and great grandchildren Sullivan, Glaleanna, Ainsley and Haven. Her sisters Leona, Shirley, and Barb.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held in her honor on Friday, August 16, 2024, 6pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, 11am, Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver. Committal will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge. 

Betty loved working at Notre Dame Catholic school. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations in her name to support others to receive a Catholic education.
