Betty âJuneâ Taylor Betty June Hines Taylor, born October 26, 1933 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 6, 2018. She grew up on the family farm east of Pauls Valley and attended Pauls Valley High School where she played the flute in the band. While living on the family farm, she loved working cattle with her horse Dobbin, which she rode bareback. June worked at Crabtree Pharmacy where she met the love of her life âMuggsâ Raymond Melvin Taylor. Muggs was transferred to Vernal, Utah so she travelled west by milk train and bus to be with him. They were married in Vernal Utah, and spent most of their marriage in Price, Utah, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Denver, Colorado, and Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. June was a fantastic mother and had a passion to work in areas where she could help and serve others. She loved her years working at Green Gables, and Bear Creek, elementary schools. June was also an entrepreneur, being a partner in a flower shop and owner of âThe Taylor Shoe Company.â She also served in numerous capacities in the Denver Society of Petroleum Engineers Wives Club, and The Garvin County Oklahoma Extension Homemakers Goldenrods. June was an active member of the Methodist Church in Rock Springs and Pauls Valley. In her later years June was employed at Cold Water Creek where her clothing collection increased way over her pay checks. June had one true passion and that was family, it always came first. With three brothers and four sisters, two half-brothers and one half-sister there was always something to do. She sure loved being the baby of the family. Her most enjoyment came from her grand-daughters and great grand-son. Every moment spent with them was like heaven on earth. She loved her time with them in the backyard swimming, or looking for bugs, and in the kitchen baking cookies. These were her favorite places to be with the grand kids. Betty June is survived by her three children, Len Taylor, David Taylor his wife Sharlee, Melody Davis her husband Ted, three grand-daughters, Melissa Taylor Hassenfuss, Taylor Marie Davis, Jayme Davis Mondragon and one great grand-son, Kaden Hassenfuss, one sister Effie Mays, and many nieces and nephews.
