Betty Bess (Marsh) Tollefson, age 94, died peacefully on Friday, April 8 at her home at the assisted living community of Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge in Westminister, Colorado. Betty was born on January 11, 1922, in Sioux City, IA to Leroy and Anna Belle Marsh. Betty retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Sioux City, IA after 20 years of service. After retirement she relocated to the Denver area to be near her son and daughter. Betty enjoyed baking delicious and beautiful desserts for the enjoyment of her family and friends. Her Christmas cookie trays were legendary among those who were lucky enough to get one. Betty also liked playing bingo, occasionally playing a slot machine and going to the hair salon every week to have her hair ""done"". Betty is survived by her son, Terry J. Feret of Breckenridge, CO, her daughter, Lynda (Gary) Bradstreet of Madison, WI and her daughter Lorianne Tollefson of Westminister, CO. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Vilas and Ken Marsh, and sister Vivian (Marsh) Rowe. A Memorial Service honoring Betty will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. A family gathering will take place immediately following also at Horan & McConaty.
